people people please be your selves!! how long must you keep embarrassing us?? at least make something good yall were acting lame ethiopians in america dnt really talk like that.
man, what the F are you talking about. they finally made something good and you’re still complaining, typical…. give’em some credit. great job guys. now i am gonna start watching ethiopian movies if you keep pushing like this.
okay okay i will take back what i said turns out they did a good job.. but im still mad at the girl in the first secene the way she pronounced ethiopian kinda ticked my nerve but it was only after i took a glance at it i left that comment its not a big deal!!
@MHYT…The movie is a depiction of some “American” Ethiopians, not all. I’m glad you watched the trailer, whether you’re a fan or not, it’s great that you checked it out. The thing is, there are not many Habeshia films out there, so we’re really not able to compare characters. But the girl in the opening scene pronounced it like that for a purpose: to show her disconnect with her culture.
I hope this film ultimately opens up the doors for more Ethiopian/Eritrean films. It’s great to see a movie about Ethiopia with an authentic Habeshia cast.
Mad Props to Yoni for taking a risk and creating an amazing film.

this will be the best movie ethiopia has ever seen!!
Excellent job guys, well done. From the preview I can see that the story line depicts an every day life of the new generation of Ethiopians in the West. It’s funny but also educational for those born and raised stateside and never been back to the motherland. And last but not least, the quality of the movie itself is grade A! Well done again guys and I will fully support this..t shirts, dvd’s whatever is associated.x
Thank you Maggi. Your support is amazing!
Congratulations. I can’t wait to see the film. Fun, funny, intelligent. Congratulations. And not a stale word in the trailer. I wish you the best. I will be at the Seattle Premiere. Toni Ciardullo, IHS teacher, retired.
when is it coming out in dc ?
Not only Ethiopian-Americans, but parents of adoption Ethiopian children should DEFINITELY see this movie. This movie is not for kids, obviously, but some parents should do everything they can to understand the disconnect between cultures for Ethiopian kids growing up in the States (or Canada or any Western country). They may have American passports, but Ethiopia is part of their identity, their heritage. Even the trailer seems to get this across better than many things I’ve seen.
Hi,
